Complete all other beauty services (waxing, manicures, pedicures, facials, lash or brow treatments) before your tan.
Shave, wax, and exfoliate at least 24 hours before your appointment to create a smooth base.
Keep your skin hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment — apply lotion regularly, but skip moisturizer on the day of your tan.
Shower at least 3 hours prior to your session to allow pores to close and skin to fully dry.
Arrive with clean, product-free skin — no lotion, perfume, deodorant, makeup, or sunscreen.
Avoid oil-based products (gels, creams, shaving foams, or body oils), as they can block absorption and affect development.
Bring or wear loose, dark clothing to your appointment — avoid tight straps or waistbands that could cause marks while your tan develops.
Wear loose, dark clothing — no bra, socks, or tight garments right after your tan to prevent unwanted lines or uneven drying.
Avoid sweating or water during the development period. If it’s raining or snowing, wear long sleeves and pants to protect your fresh glow.
Do not apply lotion, perfume, deodorant, or makeup until after your first rinse.
Wait 8–12 hours before showering.
Rinse your entire body and face thoroughly with lukewarm water until the water runs clear.
Skip soap for your first rinse — just water.
Moisturize daily using a gentle, hydrating lotion free of mineral oils, petroleum, and alcohol.
Use gentle cleansers — avoid oil-based or exfoliating products.
If you sleep in your tan, wear long sleeves and pants, and use dark bedding.
Avoid waxing, shaving, or exfoliating for as long as possible — these will fade your tan faster.
Steer clear of hot tubs, saunas, and long hot baths, as excessive heat and sweating can cause patchy fading.
Soak your skin.
Relax in a warm (not hot) bath or shower for 10–15 minutes. Adding a bit of bath oil or Epsom salts can help loosen the remaining color.
Exfoliate with care.
Using a gentle exfoliating mitt or scrub, massage your skin in circular motions to remove old tan buildup. Focus on areas like elbows, knees, ankles, and wrists.
Use a tan remover.
For best results, apply NUDA’s Tan Remover or another formulated remover to dissolve leftover color and even out the skin tone. Leave it on for 5–10 minutes before rinsing.
Rinse thoroughly.
Wash away all residue, ensuring no product is left on the skin.
Hydrate deeply.
Follow with a moisturizing body lotion or NUDA Body Cream to nourish your skin and prepare it for your next glow session.
Typically, your tan will last 7–10 days with proper care. Moisturizing daily and following the aftercare instructions will help extend the life and evenness of your glow.
You and your spray tan artist pick it together! Before your appointment begins, you’ll have a quick consultation and based off that information is how your tan shade will be selected.
You’re welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable — a swimsuit, undergarments, or go nude for the most even result. Disposable garments are also available if preferred.
The entire appointment usually takes 20–30 minutes, including setup and drying time. The actual spray process takes just a few minutes.
Ideally, schedule your appointment 1–2 days before your event for the most even, fully developed color.
Minor transfer can occur before your first rinse, especially if you sweat or sleep in your tan. It typically washes out of most fabrics. We recommend dark, loose clothing and dark bedding that first night.
Many expectant and breastfeeding mothers safely receive spray tans, but we always recommend checking with your doctor first. We can customize your service to minimize product contact and ensure comfort.
Wait 8–12 hours before your first rinse unless you’ve received a rapid tan (your artist will advise you of the exact time). Your first rinse should be with water only, no soap.
It’s best to wait until your skin has fully healed and any peeling is complete. Applying tan to damaged skin can cause uneven color and patchiness.
Of course! Spray tanning isn’t just for women — we offer natural, customized results for all skin tones and genders.
A regular tan develops over 8–12 hours, while a rapid tan develops in 1–4 hours depending on your desired depth of color. Rapid tans are great for busy schedules or same-day events.
It’s best to do waxing, manicures, pedicures, facials, or hair services before your tan — not after. Any water, lotion, or exfoliation post-tan can affect your color development.
