CHELSEA GUY:
New Owner/Operator |
Chelsea is the very proud and new owner/operator of
The Cellar Door. She has worked at “the
cellar door” since 2003. Chelsea
started here as an assistant when she was in grade 8 and
absolutely loved it. After graduating high school she
attended Brandon’s Advanced School
of Hairstyling where she graduated in 2008. She absolutely
loves the creative aspect of hairstyling! Chelsea offers
lessons in applying make-up or you can book to have your
make-up done by her for special events. She is a proponent
of continued education as is evident from the following
classes she has completed since graduating: Clipper Design
and Hair Tattoo Class; Redken Cutting Class; Eufora Blow dry
Boot camp; fully Licensed in Cinderella Extensions; Lanza
Color & Cut Class, and Redken Color Class. Chelsea was
selected to compete in the Goldwell World Color Competition.
The other area that she specializes in is facial waxing such
as eye brow, upper lip, etc. Chelsea is very involved in
women’s hockey, where she holds
the position of goalie. She, Dale, and their dog, Jerry,
have just recently purchased their first home

ROBERTA MIRZA:
Hairstylist |
Roberta is a local Portage la Prairie girl who has
been in the “hair”
business for 24 years! In this time she has attended and
completed many classes in advanced hair cutting and creative
colouring techniques. “I
have seen so many exciting and innovative changes in the
industry. I just love this business, working with such
awesome girls and my clients are great!
“I really couldn’t
imagine doing anything else!”

JOELLE DALRYMPLE:
Hairstylist |
Joelle is a licensed Hairstylist who has been
employed with
“the
cellar door”
since March 0f 2006. She graduated from Brandon’s
Advanced School of Hairstyling. Continued education courses
she has taken include: All facial waxing, Eufora Blow-Dry
Boot Camp, Goldwell Trilogy Diploma Levels I, II, & III,
Lanza Color & Cut, and Schwarzkopf Color Class. Her
favorite part of hairstyling is to take a client through the
steps of cut, color, and styling and see their excitement
of a new look. When not working, Joelle enjoys shopping,
reading, and running. As a matter of fact, she just
recently travelled to New York to shop….the ultimate
shopping experience!! In September of 2009, Joelle took the
challenge and ran her first 10 K run! |

SARA WALL:
Hairstylist |
Sara has been on “the cellar door team” for
four years. She graduated from Brandon Classic Hairstyling
Academy in 2006. Sara lives in Austin with her 10 year old
daughter Hanna. Sara’s mother is also a hairstylist, and as
a little girl Sara loved to play hairdresser, so…. it is
not surprising that she followed in Mom’s footsteps.
Classes she has taken include: Lanza Color & Cut; Redken
Color Class; Schwarzkopf Color Class; Sara also is trained
and does “Waxing,” and in 2009 took the course to do
“Sugaring.” |

KRISTEN LYSAK:
Esthetician,
Usui Reiki Master,
Crystal Healer & Relaxation Therapist |
Kristen is an Esthetician who naturally incorporates holistic
therapies as part of her services and brings many unique
skills to the table. She is also a Usui Reiki Master, a
Crystal Healer, and Relaxation Therapist. She believes in
using a truly holistic strategy that incorporates the most
natural methods of healing.
Kristen
and her husband Bruce have two beautiful children. In her
spare time she enjoys gardening and she believes in using
natural foods on the skin as both face and body treatments.
Kristen plans to go to India some day soon to learn from the
source about natural spa techniques.
Reiki

Spa Reflexology
Spa
reflexology is a form of reflexology focused solely on
healing through relaxation. Techniques in this service use
light pressure applied to the soles of the feet to deliver a
relaxed, rejuvenated feeling. Relaxation can be a subtle way
of healing or in helping to maintain overall health.

LESLEY MARKS:

Lesley is one of the voices you
hear when you call in to book your appointment. Lesley has
worked part-time with “the cellar door” since it opened 10
years ago. For those of you who didn’t know, she and
Roberta are sisters. Lesley works as an Educational
Assistant in the Portage School Division during the day.
After school she comes over to “the cellar door” where she
does receptionist duties such as answer phones, book
appointments, greet clients, and she is also the creative
genius behind our beautifully decorated bags, gift
certificates, jewellery, etc.

WONNITA BRANDS:
Administration
/ Health Coach |
Wonnita is another of the voices you hear when you call in to book
your appointment. Besides helping out at the reception desk
answering phones and booking appointments, Wonnita also
offers a unique opportunity to our clients. She is a
holistic health coach who offers our clients such things as
guided meditation sessions/foot massage, coaching sessions
(using the Hilton Johnston Health Wheel Model), break
through cell renewal natural products from the Univera
Company, Paraliminal Whole Brain Learning CD’s, The Secret
DVD, inspirational books such as The Sedona Method, Happy
for No Reason, Millionaire Mind, etc.
Wonnita and her daughter Natasha also own
“Freedom Follows -- Life Workshops“. This dynamic
mother/daughter duo travel across Manitoba and Canada
offering workshops on how to raise your level of happiness,
and how to create more abundance in your life! It is their
mission and passion to love, serve, inspire, and motivate
people to go for their dreams, live life full out! Keep

MAUREEN BRITTON:
Receptionist |
Maureen also works at the front desk answering
phones and booking appointments. Maureen and her husband Jon
reside in Portage la Prairie along with their four
beautiful daughters. She and Jon are part of the music team
at PAC. Maureen is a beautiful singer and just recently
took an interest in learning to play the violin. She also is
trying her hand at woodworking. |
